FLARE
Acceptable Parameters
Episode One
An undercover operative arrives on Mars with a clean identity and a dirty mission. Three acts. Branching consequences. No clean way out.
The Mission
What Is This?
FLARE: Acceptable Parameters is a narrative espionage game for mobile. You play as Alex — sent to a Mars colony under a cover identity with orders to observe, assess, and sabotage.
The problem is that the colony is full of real people. People who fix things, who eat together, who trust you. And your mission will cost them.

Episode Structure
Three Acts. One Operative.
Every act deepens the pressure. Every act narrows what you can still become.
Arrival
Arrive under cover. Learn the station. Meet the crew. Begin low-level espionage while the colony starts to feel uncomfortably human.
Establish your cover identity. Navigate security protocols. Earn initial trust — or at least avoid suspicion.
Ambition
Security tightens. Relationships deepen. The gap between your role and your conscience becomes harder to manage.
Handle sabotage objectives while protecting people you have started to care about. Intelligence gathering becomes personal.
Aftermath
Everything collides. Loyalty, suspicion, and mission pressure force outcomes that earlier choices have been quietly building toward.
Escape with someone you trust. Complete the mission at great personal cost. Or be erased by the systems you served.

The Experience
Not Your Typical Narrative Game
Choices That Compound
No isolated moral puzzles. Decisions ripple across all three acts — shaping trust, suspicion, access, and which endings remain possible.
Espionage Through Attention
Read rooms. Time your moves. Gather intel through observation and conversation. The most dangerous thing you can do is get noticed.
Relationships That Cost
People who matter. Closeness that increases risk. Every connection you form makes the mission harder to justify.
Minigames & Intel Ops
Interactive sequences woven into the narrative — environmental puzzles, surveillance checks, and operational decisions that break up pure reading.
No Clean Answers
Both sides of the political divide carry their own logic and their own cost. Loyalty hurts no matter where you place it.
Operational Dossier
Track contacts, intelligence, loyalty alignment, and exposure level. Your dossier reflects the state of your mission in real time.

The World
Earth Is Gone. Humanity Isn't.
A century ago, solar flares forced humanity off Earth. Millions evacuated to Mars. The world government retreated to the Moon. Earth was left behind — wrapped in thick clouds, unreachable, presumed dead.
Now Mars and the Moon exist in a cold war that neither side can afford to lose. The colonies are overcrowded. The equipment is ageing. Every corridor, every maintenance hatch, every recycled breath carries the weight of a species that survived extinction but hasn't yet figured out how to live.
You are an operative in this world. Not a hero. Not a villain. Just someone whose job description stopped making moral sense.

The Bigger Picture
The FLARE Universe
Acceptable Parameters is the beginning. Four standalone episodes build toward one larger story — and a full-scale game.
FLARE: Homecoming
The Main Game · PC
An XCOM-inspired tactical game. A mixed crew from Mars, Moon, and the orbital stations returns to a transformed Earth to reclaim humanity's homeworld.
Characters and events from all four episodes converge in Homecoming.
